ORNAMENTS | 2017 | Designed for Contour Studio

Brass, sterling silver.

Inspired by the Bauhaus movement and the International Style in particular- an architectural style typical in Tel Aviv in the 30’s and 40’s. In Tel Aviv, buildings constructed in the "International Style" continue to define the city's urban landscape.

The main idea of the Bauhaus is the preference for functionality over decoration. In contrast, the essence of jewelry is to decorate. The collection emphasizes the conflict between the Bauhaus movement's functional values and the jewelry's decorative nature.
